Tows made a slow start, conceding 15 points through two tries and a penalty in the opening exchanges.
The dream of promotion seemed all but lost until a Matt Yuill try brought Tows back into the game, Tows were now on the front foot and looked dangerous with every phase.
A mix up with the officials allowed Ivybridge to clear their lines even though the player had clearly gone back into his twenty two, Tows however still came back to end the half on the visitors line.
The second half started as well as the first for the visiting team, they calmly scored wide out after some good passing play.
Tows swiftly replied, Mark Yeates crossing after some great handling skills from the backs.
The home sides fight back continued through the pack as they drove over from a lineout, the conversion was missed, keeping Tows to within three points of Ivybridge.
With ten minutes to spare Tows received a penalty in front of the posts, Falvey expertly converted the penalty, a tremendous come back from the start of the game.
Ivybridge however had other plans, their backs, who had moved the ball well all afternoon, found the right winger who scored wide out, breaking Tows hearts in the process.
