Torrential rain and a sustained lightning storm brought this game to a premature end when it swept through the area causing the ref to immediately bring the players off the pitch and then abandon it when the lightening failed to pass after 20 minutes
Tows had opened the scoring with a James Falvey penalty then had to mount a sustained defensive effort to keep out the heavyweight visitors pack, eventually the Westcombe Park no.8 drove over from a penalty lineout which was converted from the touchline, Park followed it up with a penalty to take a 3 - 10 lead.
Tows then created a try from nothing, a turnover in their own half was quickly prodded through by Pepe nanci, and captain Craig Holton kicked ahead to gather and score in the corner for a 8 - 10 deficit, into the 2nd half Tows scored again when Prop Tom Garner scored his first try for the club but a penalty levelled the scores, just before the weather took its toll and the ref. abandoning the match, which now have to be replayed at the next available free weekend.
