The first 10 minutes saw two of the visiting players take on injuries which slowed up the opening quarter of the game.
Tows then took the lead after the forwards set up a solid platform for Ben Barwell to take a quick tap penalty and find Matt Yuill in support.
Tows’ dominant start quickly came to an end however as the visitors kicked three penalties and ran in two tries to take the lead.
The half ended with another break from Ben Barwell who managed to dash and dive over next to the posts.
After the turn around Tows took the game to ON’s, spending a large period of play camped on the opposition 22.
What looked to be a clear touchdown by Andrew Smith was then smothered by the ON’s players so that the ref could not see a clear grounding.
Tows’ pressure finally paid off when Sam Pamment crossed out wide, the conversion hit the post however leaving the score at 17 -21.
ON’s, to their credit, weathered the storm to claim two tries both converted in the last eight minutes, final score Tows 17 – ON’s 35.
