The first quarter of the game was fairly balance with Spalding counter rucking excellently to win the ball, however weak handling resulted in Tows first try coming from Charlie Barker who hacked through the Spalding defence.
Tows second try came shortly after, a break from industrious captain Liam Wilkinson saw Chrissie George finish for Falvey to successfully convert.
To the delight of the home crowd Spalding were next to score, it was created by a kick from fly half Hankinson over the Towcester defence for centre Chappell to chase and score.
As the match neared the half time whistle the score line did not reflect the efforts of Towcester until just before the break as Falvey converted his own try to give the score some realism. Tows led 5-17 at the break.
The half time talk had obviously been inspirational for Tows as they ran amok with a in a total of eight tries during the second period.
Straight away centre Martyn Harvey broke a tackle to release Barker who dotted down, this was shortly followed by Wilkinson scoring to truly open the flood gates and break Spalding’s resistance.
An unyielding line out drive saw debutant second row George Simmons arise with the ball to score.
Joe Threlfall who finished the game in the wars was next to score and with Tows now in rampant form, scrum half Gus Hopewell moved to the wing to outpace the covering tacklers.
Threlfall started a move from inside his own twenty two to again release Barker to score his hat trick, he then scored his fourth against the dispirited home defence.
Replacement Mark Yeates brought up the final score, Falvey converted to make his conversion tally five out of eight.
With the game descending into outbreaks of fighting the referee Sinclair ended the game early.
