First of all the visitors went ahead, Full back Matt Yuill failing to gather an Attempted mark giving the away team an easy score.
Tows then came raging back at Athletic pressurising them which led to a Falvey penalty which was neatly slotted.
With both sides looking to run the ball Tows pulled ahead with a great try from Chrissie George which was expertly converted from far out from Falvey.
After the try the structure of the game completely changed with Athletic Hooker charging into a ruck, this resulted in a fracas, this was concluded by a yellow card for the Bedford hooker and Tows Hooker Gallagher receiving a red for retaliation.
A try on the stroke of half time from Athletic winger was converted with another excellent kick to see them push two points in to the lead.
After the break Athletic extended their lead through a penalty and with their fly half brilliantly conducting his team by either turning the Tows forwards with his outstanding kicking or quickly spreading the ball wide Athletics advantage of the extra player began to show and their domination resulted in three further unanswered tries.
Tows, to their credit never dropped the effort camping on the visitors line for the remainder of the match. Athletic had given away six consecutive penalties however referee Whalen failed to give Tows the expected penalty try.
