Straight away Tows’ took the lead through a penalty taken by Ben Roe, celebrations did not last however as Tows suffered a disastrous 10 minutes. A charged down drop goal attempt from Rasen fly half fell kindly for their centre who then had a clear run to the line. This was quickly followed by a failed clearance from Tows that was latched onto by Rasen who score their second try. The conversion turned into a heated debate over the validity.
Tows then began to put some fazes together so that they could get back into the game. A Matt Yuill break found scrum half Dave Stocks expertly gathered the ball the ball from his toes to score, Roe converted.
Tows backs then started to find faults in the Rasen defence, centre Roe charging under to supposedly score only to somehow drop the ball in touching down.
The score at the break was 10-12.
The second half started with a disrupted scrum that found Tows scrambling the ball away from their own line. The ball popped to Chrissie George who burst through he released Aaron Goodman who took the ball to half way only to find Chrissie George again who ran in, Roe converted.
However Rasen never gave up and a failed clearance resulted in a line out which Rasen drove in to score, the conversion saw Rasen win the game.
