Witney seemed in hold control of territory in the opening stages but Tows eventually broke through after several attempts, Centre Ben Roe crashing through the defence and converting his own try.
Tows discipline then went astray, a yellow card awarded to flanker Yuon Skelton, much to the delight of the home supporters.
Taking advantage of the extra man Witney kicked penalty slotted by full back Lamb. Moments later Witney snatched another opportunity with a try, converted by their scrum half.
Tows then rallied managing to nose ahead just before half time with a well worked line out surge finished by Richard Tustian.
During the third quarter both sides battled hard to gain control, with a tough period of attrition. Tows though found the break through with powerful running from Number Eight, Craig Holton putting the home side on the back foot the resulting driving maul allowed Holton then to spin off for a decisive try.
Another moment of Ill-discipline led to Tows receiving their second yellow of the game. Witney saw this as the perfect opportunity to launch a counter attack with a period of pressure; the penalty try was eventually awarded to the home team after a driving maul was pulled down illegally.
Tows were now only two points to the good and a single error could have rewarded the home team with the points. Luckily an industrious display from flanker Nicky Blackman prevented this from happening as he charged down an attempted clearance kick. He then followed up by scoring from the loose ball, giving the travelling team a well earned bonus point.
Tows added another try as Ben Roe slid in from wide out.
The last moments of the match saw Tows hold out a last ditch assault on their line, firm in defence. Next week Tows play Bugbrooke in the East midlands Cup at Greens Norton Road. This local derby is set to be a flier.
