Buckingham came back through a penalty from the captain only to concede again as Tows spread the ball wide for Ronnie Speakman to score. Falvey was again there to add the extras.
Tows then began to sharpen up and looked capable of stretching the lead, however a failed clearance kick ahead saw Buckingham winger James Lund out pace the cover to score to the delight of the home VPs crowd. The score line going into the break was 8-17.
Tows butchered several chances to score having benefitted from an early second half yellow card for Buckingham, they strangely lacked the finishing ability that was shown earlier in the season.
Two Falvey penalties looked to have Tows home and hosed, but it took an excellent cover tackle from David Devlin-Jones to prevent an interception opportunity from Lund again who looked to be clear.
