The heavy Swindon forward surprisingly struggled in the opening stages as Tows’ bullied them in for the first try.
Shortly after Tows failed to clear the ball from the kick off leading to a penalty successfully converted by Swindon. Shortly afterwards Craig Holton showed alacrity breaking from his scrum on half way bursting through the defence and outpacing the covering tacklers to score under the posts. Falvey added the conversion.
Not long after Tows’ swift handling was finished by a darting Adam Wilkinson, Falvey again adding the extras.
The end to end game continued with a try from the visiting team, a forwards drive battling over the white wash. Tows however gradually claimed back the territory.
A quickly taken penalty in front of the posts resulted in the ball being spread to electric Thorne Gladwin who sprinted round for a score converted by Falvey.
With parity in the scrums and both defences going hammer and tongs the game went through a stalemate period. This was short lived however Tows’ pack retaining the ball on Swindon’s line and having the patience to release Mark Yeates who charged under the posts.
Swindon were not to lie down, they came back with a converted try.
Falvey kept the score board ticking with a penalty and the game ended with another incisive backs move, David Devlin-Jones stepping numerous defenders to score the final try. A strong Tows performance fitting the dry conditions.
