On Saturday Tows looked to bounce back from last week’s set back, to complete the double over the Wiltshire side, Trowbridge.

In the opening exchanges the visiting side chose to kick the ball in to the corner on numerous occasions, when presented with a penalty, this came to nothing however as Tows’ defence stayed strong.

After a large period of pressure on the home team’s line Tows found themselves in the opposition twenty two. I well worked line out lead to the first try of the game, Fen Gallagher dotted down after a blind side break.

Tows were now dominating possession, and in their second excursion into the oppositions half Ben Roe kicked through for Gallagher to take and neatly offload to Craig Holton to finish in the corner. Tows had a ten point lead at the turn round.

In the second half Tows new that they would have to turn it up it the scrum, and so they did, driving the visitors back, David Devlin – Jones chose the perfect line to be one on one with only the full back to beat. The run was concluded as with ease he danced around the last man for a truly top class score.

With the wind behind them Tows looked firmly in control, Falvey kicking a huge touch finder, which lead to winger Yuill to score the bonus point try.

Tows then added another, handling and interplay from the backs saw Charlie Smith score, Falvey Converted.

Trowbridge now had their last chance to get into the game, with Tows prop Zac Osborne yellow carded and Chris Kirby having to leave the field with a nasty finger injury, you felt the visitors score could come at any time. The spirited visitors came up with a try from the forwards as they bustled over.

The score was in some ways cancelled out however as Tows added their sixth try to end the game with a comfortable win.

With Windsor slipping up at Swindon, Tows reclaimed their second place spot in the league, which sets up an almighty showdown next week beneath the castle.
